Oktoberfest is in Downtown Rehoboth Beach!
October 3-5
The Wurst will be the Best!
Downtown Rehoboth Beach will be the place to be on the first weekend in October as our downtown restaurants celebrate the First Annual Rehoboth Beach Oktoberfest!
20 restaurants have already signed on to participate with special menus, special Oktoberfest beer and a salute to well-brewed beer, sausages and much more!
The event, sponsored by Leinenkuge; and Blue Moon (Pumpkin Ale), and presented by Rehoboth Beach Main Street, will bring us the best in German cuisine coupled with a great party atmosphere, terrific music and the raising of a beer stein or three or four!
Oktoberfest is celebrated in Germany beginning the end of September with a two-week beer bash, dancing, and oom-pah bands. Rehoboth restaurants are getting into the act this year on Friday, October 3 through Sunday, October 5 to start a brand new tradition downtown.
Already on board for turning downtown into an Alpine village are Abstractions, Aqua Grill, Back Porch Cafe, Cloud 9, Dos Locos, Dogfish Head, DISH, Finbar's Pub & Grill, Frogg Pond, Go Fish, Iguana Grill, Irish Eyes, Mariachi, Pig+Fish Restaurant, Purple Parrot Grill, Sammy's Kitchen, Seafood Shack, Shag, Victorias, and Wings to Go.
Our restaurants are cooking up recipes for Sauerbraten, Bratwurst, Weinerschnitzel and some incredibly creative takes on traditional German food!

Have you been to see the beautiful bronze dolphin statue near the Bandstand in downtown Rehoboth Beach? It's right on Rehoboth Avenue- surrounded by an engraved brick paver field. But our dolphin needs a name!
Now is your chance to Name the Dolphin!
Participants:Kids-15 years old and under can participate
How?:Fill out a ballot and turn it in to Wilmington Trust on Rehoboth Avenue, or Rehoboth Beach Main Street Office- located in between the RB Convention Center and Parking Division off of Rehoboth Avenue. Or mail to RBMS, PO Box 50, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
The voting cards are available at Wilmington Trust on Rehoboth Avenue, the Rehoboth Beach Main Street office, or online.
Deadline:Have your name suggestion turned in or postmarkedby November 5, 2008.
Winner/Prize: Names will be judged by a panel and the winner will be announced in November 2008. The winner will receive bragging rights and a check for $250.00!
